Game overview
Move-limited match-three removes speed pressure entirely: with a finite number of moves and no clock, there is never a reason to take the first match you see. The players who fail objectives usually clear at the top of the board, where new tiles drop into unpredictable positions, rather than at the bottom, where clears cascade upward through tiles already visible. Cascades are what meet objectives inside the move limit, so setting them up beats taking isolated groups. Reading the level goal first matters too, since clearing a colour, breaking tiles, or dropping an item each reward different matches.
This title is best suited to players who want an unhurried puzzle where board reading is rewarded.
How to play ProMatch 3
- Swap adjacent tiles to match three or more.
- Work the lower rows so a clear ripples up through visible tiles
- Read the level objective first — different goals reward different matches.
- Take no clock pressure seriously; study the board before each move.
Controls
- Click or tap two adjacent tiles to swap, or drag one onto its neighbour
Objectives and failure conditions
Objectives
- Meet the level goal within the move allowance
- Build cascades rather than clearing isolated groups
The run ends or fails when
- Running out of moves before the objective
- Spending moves on matches that do not advance the goal
Gameplay mechanics
- Move-limited rather than timed
- Top-down refill that makes low clears the readable ones
- Special tiles from four-or-more matches
- Per-level objectives directing valuable matches
Tips for ProMatch 3
- Never take the first match you spot; there is no timer and it is rarely the best move.
- Match low for cascades; high clears drop unknown tiles.
- Check the objective before your first move so you do not waste moves.
What worked well and what did not
Pros
- No timer rewards thinking over speed
- Per-level objectives keep it from being one repeated task
Cons
- Layouts occasionally offer no productive move
- Some goals depend on drawing a workable board
